We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Physician to join our dynamic telehealth team. The ideal candidate will provide remote medical care to patients experiencing a variety of acute health issues.

Position Title: Board Certified Emergency Physician - Telehealth - Nights

Schedule: Nights 7PM - 7AM

Location: Remote

Type: Contract; Minimum of 24 hours per month

Position Summary: We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Physician to join our dynamic telehealth team. The ideal candidate will provide remote medical care to patients experiencing a variety of acute health issues. This role is integral in delivering exceptional virtual healthcare services, ensuring patient satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct virtual consultations with patients presenting acute medical issues.
  2. Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries to severe.
  3. Provide medical advice, prescribe medications, and recommend follow-up care as necessary.
  4. Collaborate with local emergency services when immediate on-site intervention is required.
  5. Advocate for patients' needs and ensure they receive appropriate care, whether through telehealth or in-person services.
  6. Utilize telehealth platforms to document patient interactions, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists to coordinate patient care.
  8. Adhere to strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards when providing care.
  9. Ensure secure transmission and storage of patient information.
  10. Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, telehealth technology, and best practices in emergency medicine.
  11. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  2. Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
  3. Additional certifications or fellowships in Emergency Response, Public Health, Telemedicine or Telehealth preferred.
  4. Minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency experience in emergency medicine.
  5. Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients from one year of age through the lifespan.
  6. Must have an active and unrestricted medical license(s) in at least one of MD Allys existing markets (FL, AZ, CA) and a willingness to obtain licenses in all other existing or future markets.
  7. Proficiency in using telehealth technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  8. Adherence to evidence-based medical practices and guidelines with a willingness to adapt to evolving best practices in telehealth.
  9. Experience working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including PCPs, specialists, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, and care coordinators.
  10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a remote setting.
  12. Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during telehealth sessions.
  13. Commitment to patient-centered care and excellent clinical outcomes.
  14. Must be able to work Nights from 7 PM - 7 AM
