Seeking a reliable CDL Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team in Memphis, TN. The CDL Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. These vehicles' propulsion systems include diesel, gasoline, and alternative technologies such as compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electrical in some locations. CDL Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. CDL Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location’s need. Automotive Technicians must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment. Responsibilities and Duties include meeting D.O.T requirements, physical activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, standing, walking, and turning/pivoting frequently throughout the workday. Operates standard and manual transmission and power and pneumatic tools. Requirements include having an active CDL driver’s license issued by the state, willingness to work various shifts, possession of required hand tools, current documented automotive mechanical experience, experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer, and possession of Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Dependability, ability to work varying shifts, wear personal protective equipment, work in variable environmental conditions, cooperate in a diverse work environment, and communicate effectively are also required. Compensation starts at $38.43 per hour with benefits including weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), pension plan, medical-dental-vision coverage, paid vacation, sick and family leave, paid holidays, and employee stock purchase program.
