Job – Histotechnologist IV

Location – Nashville, TN 37206

Duration 3 months – contract to possible hire

Shift: 1st 3rd/ 8pm-4:30am

Eligibility: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) holders are eligible to apply

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician with a strong background in both embedding and microtomy . The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience and be proficient in embedding tissue samples and cutting paraffin blocks efficiently and accurately.

Certification through ASCP or as a Histotechnician (HT) is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Embed approximately 35 tissue blocks per hour
• Cut and prepare 35 slides per hour using a microtome
• Maintain accuracy and quality while working at a production pace
• Follow all laboratory safety and quality protocols
• Work collaboratively with lab staff to ensure timely processing of samples

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedding and microtomy
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed expected block and slide output
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Familiarity with standard lab safety protocols
• Grossing experience is not required

Disqualification Criteria:

• Candidates without embedding or microtomy experience will not be considered

Education: Bachelor's degree. Certification through ASCP or as a Histotechnician (HT) is preferred
