HR Generalist
Location: DTLA
Schedule: full-time, hybrid on-site (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) | Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Duration: 2 month temporary assignment (could be eligible and considered for permanent hire)
Reports To: HR Director
Salary: $25-$30/hr
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist plays an important role by providing a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services, including researching, writing and implementing policies and procedures, developing and planning, organizing and administering human resources services and leading customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supports Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives
-Researches, writes and implements policies and procedures according to changes in state and federal law, contract requirements (e.g. DMH) and best practices.
-Manages the employee onboarding process and ensures new hires have a positive onboarding experience, especially during their New Hire Orientation
-Responsible for data entry in the HR information system (e.g. Paycom and MyHealthBenefits) and conducts ongoing audits to ensure the highest level of accuracy of the data entered.
-Assists with all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to data requests, including but not limited to data availability, ad-hoc reports, and technical support.
-Assists employees with benefits enrollment; providing explanation of benefit eligibility, waiting periods and key program features.
-Plays an active role in our annual Open Enrollment process to ensure that employees across the network receive the support necessary to secure their and their dependents' health benefits coverage.
-Supports with the management of leave of absences and reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree required
* Minimum 4 years' professional work experience
* Experience in the non-profit space preferred but not required
* Proficiency with MS Office applications, Paycom, and MyHealthBenefits portal
