Job Description: Landscape Architect

The Agency, representing a premier design and engineering client, seeks a skilled Landscape Architect to join their innovative team. The client, a leader in creating sustainable and transformative outdoor spaces, is dedicated to delivering projects that enhance communities and prioritize environmental stewardship. The Landscape Architect will lead the design and execution of impactful landscape projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops landscape plans for commercial, residential, and public projects, incorporating sustainable practices and aesthetic excellence.
  • Collaborates with architects, engineers, and clients to align projects with site conditions, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Produces detailed drawings, specifications, and presentations using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Conducts site analyses, evaluating soil, hydrology, and vegetation to inform ecologically sound design decisions.
  • Oversees project timelines, budgets, and contractor coordination during construction, ensuring quality and adherence to design intent.
  • Researches and specifies plants, hardscape materials, and sustainable technologies to optimize project functionality and durability.
  • Presents designs to clients, stakeholders, and permitting agencies, securing approvals and addressing feedback efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a portfolio demonstrating diverse projects (e.g., urban parks, commercial campuses, stadiums).
  • Licensed Landscape Architect (or eligible for licensure within 6 months) in [State/Region].
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite, with GIS or Rhino experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable design, native plantings, and stormwater management (e.g., LID, green roofs).
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects ($500K-$10M) on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, adept at engaging clients and collaborating with diverse teams.
