Job Description

Inspiration Travel is a Christian travel management company specializing in group travel experiences for Christian ministries and churches since 1981. As seasoned travel advisors, we partner with ministry and church leaders to prepare once-in-a-lifetime Christian cruises and Christian tours for like-minded people to get away and meet God in a unique setting.

As our company continues to grow, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our in-office team in Fresno and support our daily marketing initiatives

Position Summary:

This position provides administrative and marketing support for Inspiration Travel. Working directly with Inspiration’s Event Partners and Pillar Brands (Inspiration’s creative agency), the Marketing Assistant plays a key role in preparing marketing content, coordinating deadlines, and maintaining asset organization. This role is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Projects Director.

The Marketing Assistant must communicate with professionalism and clarity, manage multiple timelines, and execute tasks with accuracy and follow-through. An understanding of marketing fundamentals is helpful to support content development, promotional schedules, and material reviews.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Support & Communication

  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with existing event partners
  • Communicate directly with Pillar Brands to relay assets, priorities, deadlines, and revision feedback
  • Coordinate with marketing team members and Pillar Brands to execute campaign tasks
  • Attend marketing meetings and track resulting tasks for follow-up
  • Organize and maintain digital folders and file structures for creative assets
  • Proofread marketing content and assist in reviewing first-round material for alignment with brand standards

Event Marketing

  • Communicate with event partners to collect creative assets, establish promotional schedules, set priorities and manage deadlines to create sales
  • Coordinate with co-workers on the quality of promotional materials sent to event partners including written content, imagery and overall marketing success
  • Organize the priorities of Inspiration and the event partners for Pillar, in order to meet deadlines
  • Prepare content for event brochures and websites using provided templates
  • Proof final materials before they are sent for review internally and/or to the event partners
  • Introduce the event partner dashboard to onboarded clients and use the dashboard for collection of marketing assets as well as for delivery of final event materials 
  • Work with partners to identify event marketing source codes
  • Monitor marketing and promotional efforts for event partners and contracted guest artists
  • Analyze the effectiveness of promotional efforts and suggest improvements
  • Assist with marketing co-op reporting with vendors and agencies
  • Assist with general Inspiration marketing efforts to partners and travelers

Website Management

  • Work in conjunction with the Creative team to create and update event landing pages

Branded Apparel and Online Store

  • Working alongside department overseers, manage all Inspiration product inventory including Signature Service, Elite, Travel Coordinators and Business Development
  • Oversee design, select new products and place orders as necessary
  • Review invoices and request payment

Required Experience:

Project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

Strong administrative organization and attention to detail

Effective team collaboration and clear communication skills

Professionalism in external communication with partners and vendors

Proficiency in business writing and document formatting

Ability to follow through on verbal and written instructions

Expertise in Microsoft Office and Google Docs

Proficiency in PC and Mac preferred

College degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field preferred

Experience using project management software preferred (e.g., Wrike, Basecamp, Asana, Workfront)

3 to 5+ years of relevant work experience

This is a non-exempt position $25-27 DOE
