Job Title: R&D Project Manager (Contractor)

Location: Plano, TX 75024

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Sub Function: R&D – Foods PMO

Job Summary:

Join Client’s Global R&D PMO team to lead and support high-impact innovation and productivity projects in the Foods business. This position will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage complex timelines, and drive execution across multiple regions and categories. Ideal candidates will have R&D experience in CPG (preferably food), strong project management skills, and the ability to navigate technical and organizational complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support global project execution by setting clear project scope, milestones, and resource plans.
• Manage project governance, meeting cadence, timelines, and documentation.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment, decision-making forums, and risk mitigation.
• Track progress using PM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project), ensure data accuracy, and generate reports.
• Support scope management, change control processes, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Regulatory, Sensory, and other teams.
• Assist with risk workshops, issue resolution, and process optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in STEM (preferred in Food Science, Engineering, or related).
• 5–7 years of experience in R&D within CPG or Food Industry.
• Proficient in project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Timeline Pro).
• Strong technical understanding of product development and commercialization.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder, cross-regional/global teams.
• PMP certification is a plus or eligibility to obtain is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with PMI methods and Product Development Lifecycle.
• Ability to synthesize technical data for executive reporting.
• Team player with a positive, proactive approach.
• Adaptability to change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
