Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is excited to welcome a dedicated Safety and Health Advocate.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making workplaces safer? As a Safety and Health Advocate, you'll be at the center of our initiatives, driving safety culture, ensuring compliance, and engaging employees to foster a secure environment.

Key Functions:

• Focus on surprising your team with improvements in injury prevention and employee involvement.
• Be a proactive voice in all team-led safety projects, ensuring clear communication across all levels.
• Lead as the BBS expert, equipping your colleagues with the necessary tools to promote a safe culture.
• Facilitate essential safety training tailored to specific audiences based on need, such as new entrants or seasoned professionals.
• Delve into On-The-Job Training systems to detect and rectify any proficiency gaps.
• Guide sessions focused on safety, monitor board updates, and offer insightful follow-ups.
• Coach peers and managers in engagement protocols and report crafting, with an eye on data-driven improvements.
• Act as a bridge by effectively addressing safety communications, including alerts from other sites.
• Follow predetermined safety jobs that have been allocated and integrate into site norms.
• Undertake further ventures aligning with reduction in workplace injuries.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong communication competencies.
• Keen understanding of safety dynamics with foundational knowledge in essential safety standards.
• Proficient in essentials like Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience in training others, ready to engage both colleagues and managers in discussions.
• Background in industrial or similar environments will be a great asset.

Work Conditions:

• You’ll be working Monday to Friday, adjusting for special requirements as needed.
• Engage in various roles ranging from office-centered tasks to active roles on the floor.
• Physical demands are frequent, with expectations of climbing, standing, and varying climate conditions.

Certification:

• An OSHA 10 certification can set you apart from other candidates.
