Job Description

Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Mayo Garden Centers is looking for a furniture sales associate and retail merchandiser. Applicant will primarily be in our furniture department assisting customers, ordering stock furniture and custom orders, and creating exciting displays. Applicant will have a say in the furniture we stock and the lines we carry. This position will report directly to the store manager and company owners and will assist in managing the furniture department. Applicant must be friendly and outgoing. Previous furniture sales experience is a plus. Mayo Garden Centers is a locally owned garden center that sells a wide variety of lawn and garden equipment, plants, garden supply items and outdoor furniture. Applicants will also need to learn about our wide variety of merchandise in order to better serve our customers. This is a full time hourly position that is eligible to earn monthly commissions. Pay is based upon experience. Benefits:

  • Health Insurance, Life Insurance and Dental Insurance are available to all full time employees. Mayo's pays half of the cost for the employee and any family members on the plan. Employees also accrue sick pay each week that can be used if the employee is too sick to come to work.
  • Mayo's pays for vacation time based upon hours worked and length of employment.
  • Mayo's also pays employees for all holidays that Mayo's closes for.
  • Matching 401K retirement plan
Very few Sundays are required (Mayo's is closed on Sundays except for April, May and December) and no evenings. Applicants will have a set schedule from week to week with their day off being the same each week. Employee discount on all merchandise Mayo Garden Centers
