As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol - Swing Shift in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. This is an armed and driving post, so you will be required to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will also interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $24.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Carry and maintain control of assigned firearms and/or other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
