As a Senior Automation Systems Engineer , you'll be the cornerstone in ensuring the efficacy and dependability of our automated systems, controls, and IT infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Engage in Tier Meetings to drive continuous improvement and innovation via the Pactiv Business System (PBS) methodologies, such as A3, 5S, Standard Work, and Problem Solving.
• Lend your technical prowess to maintenance and production teams, helping to diagnose and resolve issues with thermoforming and packaging gear.
• Become adept at evaluating, adjusting, calibrating, and remedying manufacturing apparatus and instruments.
• Delve into troubleshooting and remedying production machinery issues.
• Master both AC and DC circuitry, along with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical principles.
• Decode all variations of technical diagrams, including wiring schematics and specifications.
• Continuously evolve with the latest in automation and control technologies.
• Tackle problems using PDCA to trace root causes, enforce preventive measures, and elevate operations.
• Spearhead efforts to enhance Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
• Act as a conduit between plant and corporate teams to alleviate IT challenges.
• Take ownership in creating and modifying operational procedures.
• Promote a zero-tolerance stance on EHS incidents, delve into investigations to pinpoint root cases, and enforce corrective measures.
• Act as a knowledge leader, mentoring personnel across different organizational levels.
• Oversee contractors, ensuring minimized downtime and smooth transitions.
• Safeguard engineering documentation and technical manuals with accuracy, maintaining them diligently for continuous improvements.
• Champion a tidy and risk-free workspace.
• Adapt to flexible hours, potentially including weekends, holidays, and on-call scenarios.
• Thrive in collaborative, team-oriented setups, driving vertical and horizontal alignments.
