Lexe is hiring - we're looking for an engineer who's hungry and looking for a hard and ambitious software project to commit themselves to. Lexe is building the next generation of Lightning infrastructure - we’ve solved the offline receive problem by running an entire Lightning node in a TEE, based on a foundation of open-source software that is bit-for-bit reproducible and remotely attested to by the enclave. We’re hiring employee #1 to help us quickly ship a ton of upcoming products and features, including channel splicing, BIP 353, VSS, Spark, off-chain swaps, NWC (NIP-47), and SDKs which allow other wallets and consumer apps to add self-custodial Lightning into their products. We work out of the beautiful Presidio Bitcoin office in SF with a direct view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Most of your work will be in Rust, but you’ll have opportunities to also work with Nix and Flutter/Dart if those align with your interests. Systems programming experience is a plus, including if it’s in C / C++. We aren’t over-indexing on experience but our ideal candidate has at least 1-1.5 years of engineering experience at a company operating in production. You do not have to be a Bitcoin maxi, but you should know your way around general Bitcoin / blockchain concepts. The most important thing is that you’re smart, willing to learn, and up for the challenge of shipping quickly at a fast-moving early-stage startup.
