Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina SLPA license or certification
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Proficient in implementing speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

• Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of specific speech and language disorders and treatment techniques
• Previous experience in healthcare settings, particularly with pediatric populations, is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Provide direct support to students in speech and language therapy sessions
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy activities
• Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support students overall development
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding therapy goals and progress
