Vice President of Geotechnical Engineering We are seeking a talented, growth-oriented leader to guide our Geotechnical Engineering Department into its next phase. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business development skills, and leadership passion. It is suited for an executive capable of leveraging industry contacts and management abilities to drive success. VP Responsibilities Manage departmental finances, increasing revenue and reducing costs while developing client relationships. Evaluate and improve workflows and processes. Optimize resource utilization and lead strategic planning. Oversee budgets, personnel recruitment, management, and retention. Develop standard operating procedures and serve as a senior technical resource. Ensure quality of deliverables and coach teams as needed. Contribute to business growth through strategic development and client retention. Stay informed on industry standards and market opportunities. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of Geotechnical Engineering, especially in telecommunications and energy sectors, and possess strong communication skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment requiring effective collaboration. Computer Software Experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Experience with gINT, SHAFT, and LPile is preferred. Experience/Minimum Requirements At least 10 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience. Minimum 5 years in business development and client relations. Experience leading organizational change. Current PE certification in at least one state. Experience managing geotechnical projects holistically. Energy sector experience is preferred; if not, telecommunications or utility industries experience with business development capability. Proven ability to develop and maintain client and partner relationships.
