About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Commercial Business Intelligence Analyst to play a pivotal role in driving strategic planning and market research efforts. This highly visible position is responsible for developing and analyzing data to create actionable business intelligence, with a focus on enhancing the company's value, strategies, and policies. The successful candidate will be expected to interact daily with senior leaders, provide strategic oversight, and direct complex business analysis work. Key responsibilities include developing investment business cases, supporting commercial and strategic decision-making, and collaborating with the commercial team to develop market views. The role also involves reporting on commercial activity, participating in strategic analysis, and providing detailed analysis of economic trends, markets, and competitors. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years' of experience in market analysis, business intelligence, or analytics, or a High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years' of experience in the same fields. Rail industry experience is a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills, the ability to take initiative, and a talent for outside-the-box thinking in data analysis. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential, with exposure to Access, Tableau, SQL, and Power BI being desirable.
