Overview CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSULTANT) Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Family Medicine Warrior Ohana Clinic, in Kapolei, Hawaii. For more information, visit: Responsibilities Major Duties: Serves as a Clinical Psychologist Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) for the Clinic and Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC) Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) program. Makes mental health diagnoses in accordance with the most recent DSM. Provides individual and group treatment, including brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes. Assesses acute mental health and behavioral medicine conditions. Maintains documentation in accordance with SOPs, DoD, DHA, Federal, and state regulations. Provides consultation and feedback to primary care providers and staff. Provides evidence-based individual treatment and psychoeducational classes for patients in primary care clinics. Consults with primary care providers regarding psychological treatment options. Assists with treatment of high-risk patients. Conducts PCBH model treatment, monitors, and documents treatment goals. Develops treatment processes and evaluates outcomes. Implements performance initiatives, reviews clinical standards, and performs quality assurance duties to meet accreditation requirements. Monitors clinical records, environment of care, and risk management. Works to increase clinical productivity and penetration into the patient population. Evaluates and revises procedures and conducts program evaluations. Provides consultation on outcome measures and screening instruments. Coordinates professional development activities and in-service training. Evaluates scope of practice and adjusts practices for efficacy. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens To qualify, you must meet education and experience requirements. Experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer, and service work. Your resume must detail relevant experience; transcripts are required if qualifying by education. Basic Requirement: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in clinical psychology. Specialized Experience: One year of experience at the GS-12 level including developing behavioral health treatment plans, administering psychological assessments, and managing data for reports and SOPs.
