What would you do as aN Equipment Mechanic

As a Full-Time Equipment Mechanic at PTI Technologies, your primary role will involve performing scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will be responsible for keeping accurate records of maintenance activities using the Faciliworks maintenance program and addressing repairs on broken equipment efficiently. Essential duties include conducting preventative maintenance and repairs of various production machinery, rebuilding equipment as needed, and utilizing a range of hand and power tools to execute your tasks.

You'll collaborate closely with the equipment supervisor for guidance and participate in the removal, relocation, and installation of both old and new equipment. Proficiency in working from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions is crucial, along with a willingness to undertake additional related duties as required. This position is pivotal in maintaining high operational standards within our aerospace production environment.
Are you the Equipment Mechanic we're looking for?

To be successful as a Full-Time Equipment Mechanic at PTI Technologies, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with one to three years of experience in production equipment repair and maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A fundamental understanding of general trade skills is essential, including knowledge of power tools, machine tools, and their operation. Basic computer skills are required, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints is crucial for performing maintenance tasks accurately. Candidates must complete training for forklift and mobile scaffold operation. Strong mathematical skills are necessary for performing calculations and interpreting data.

The role requires physical stamina, as employees are expected to lift up to 50 pounds and handle various manual tasks in a dynamic environment. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, will facilitate effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. A hands-on approach combined with common sense reasoning will aid in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
