Head of Human Resources | $125K - $150K + Bonus

Full-Time | ONSITE Only (No Remote/Hybrid)

Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance to West Palm Beach.

About the Opportunity

We’re supporting a fast-growing, service-based business with multiple operating locations and an aggressive expansion strategy. This confidential search is for a Human Resources Manager who can roll up their sleeves, lead through change, and build scalable people operations from the ground up.

If you’ve worked in private equity-backed or portfolio companies , especially with M&A exposure , this role will speak your language. You'll work closely with leadership to integrate new acquisitions, refine processes, and create an employee experience that fuels growth.

What You’ll Own

People & Culture Strategy

  • Develop and evolve HR policies and programs that support a high-performance, compliant, and values-driven culture.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner and coach to leaders and frontline teams.

Talent Management & Employee Relations

  • Oversee performance management cycles and provide support on coaching, documentation, and disciplinary processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead HR operations including benefits, payroll coordination, and policy development.
  • Stay on top of employment law changes and ensure compliance across multiple states.
  • Maintain and improve the employee handbook, documentation, and HR SOPs.

HRIS + M&A Integration

  • Maintain clean and accurate employee data in the HRIS (ADP or similar), and manage the onboarding and integration of acquired businesses.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure seamless transitions during acquisitions.

Recruiting & Retention

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for critical roles across the business, ensuring the right talent joins at the right time.
  • Drive retention strategies and employee engagement initiatives across locations.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR leadership experience (HR Manager level or above), ideally in construction, trades, or customer service-driven industries
  • Strong understanding of HR in a multi-site, operationally heavy business
  • Experience working in or with private equity-backed companies is a plus
  • Hands-on experience leading M&A integration , especially with culture and systems alignment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations across multiple states
  • Proficiency with HR systems (ADP, Paycom, or similar) and the ability to improve workflows
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10–15%)
