Location: Albany, NY Category: Research Foundation Careers Posted On: Tue Aug 1 2023 Job Description: Description of Duties: The Interviewer/ Community Outreach Specialist will be a part of the BABY study research team and will play a pivotal role in recruiting expectant Black families from the community, administering home- and clinic-based interviews, and other research-related tasks. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma Basic computer skills (must be able to administer computer-based interview; use excel spreadsheets). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience or strong interest in working with Black/African American populations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., socioeconomic, ethnic/cultural, religious, sexuality) in culturally competent ways. Experience with working with pregnant people. The selected candidate will be required to: Register with volunteer services through Albany Medical Center. Pass security clearance through Albany Medical Center. Complete training in research ethics prior to beginning employment.
