Job Description

The National Association for Hispanic Elderly/Asociacion Nacional Pro Personas Mayores (NAFHE/ANPPM) is looking for a  National Compliance Coordinator . The National Compliance Coordinator’s main responsibility is ensuring federal grant compliance for the NAFHE/ANPPM  Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP).

The Participants in the SCSEP are 55 years and older and are provided 20 to 25 paid community service hours in term limited jobs at local qualified host organizations, either a non-profit organization or a state or local government agency. In exchange for the SCSEP participant, the host organization provides valuable in-kind job training. As participants in program, they are encouraged and assisted to use the community service hour experience to find a permanent job within the private or public sector before the end of the four-year program term.

NAFHE/ANPPM is headquartered in Pasadena, Calif. and has eight regional offices covering various counties in Arizona, California, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania. 

Responsibilities

  • Will ensure NAFHE/ANPPM in compliance with the Department of Labor SCSEP grant terms and conditions
  • Interpret and analyze demographic and market date to support SCSEP grant compliance and program goals
  • Evaluate and create internal tracking systems and processes
  • Research and develop internal policies and procedures
  • Track local, state, and federal legislation
  • Create reports, presentations and other communication products 
  • Maintain and create relationships with national non-profit organizations
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other public speaking engagement or opportunities
  • Virtually and in-person coordinate compliance with regional offices and staff at headquarters

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience monitoring and evaluating federal grant programs
  • Background or experience in the federal grant making process
  • Experience working in non-profit organizations or a government agency
  • Self-starter comfortable and experience working as part of a virtual team
  • Adept and knowledgeable in the federal procurement policies and regulations
  • Familiarity with cloud based federal government IT solutions
  • Public speaking and participation in national, state, and local coalitions
  • Proficient in managing projects and teams with Microsoft Office 365 
  • Virtual meeting technology, both hosting and participating
  • Bachelor or above degree 
  • Some domestic and regional travel required
  • The SCSEP management team is located in Pasadena, Calif. and is remote work eligible for well qualified candidates.
